The album featured a sound full of electronic beats, synths and reverb, creating a dancing sound allied to sharp lyrics and acid melodies. Acclaimed by critics and its faithful audience alike, Em noite de climão was picked as the Album of the Year by the 2017 Multishow Award for Brazilian Music, and elected one of the best 10 Brazilian albums of the year by Rolling Stone magazine.
In these pages, journalist Roberta Martinelli unveils the backstage of the recording, the stories orbiting the creation of Climão, and the impact of the album that achieved a definitive place in the history of contemporary Brazilian music. According to Letrux, Em noite de climão is “where the blues dance and pleasure hurts.”
Excerpt
“In that release party in São Paulo, in addition to the show, the vibe was that something very different was being born there, and that the chorus ‘bota na tua cabeça que isso aqui vai render’ [‘get it into your head that this is going to work out’] wasn’t a mantra, but a prediction for the album.”

About the collection
The O Livro do Disco collection was released in 2014 by Cobogó in order to present readers with distinct musical reflections about albums that were, and still are, essential to our cultural and, of course, emotional education. With each title, the reader is invited to dive deep in the history of albums that broke barriers, opened paths and defied convention. O Livro do Disco is for music fans, but also for those who desire a deeper, yet accessible, contact with the context and central figures of works that made music history. In times of fragmented listening and music access through streaming platforms, (re)encountering these albums in their totality is a way of listening to what they have to say about our times.
