Between giving theater lessons to a young aspiring actress and the impact her carefree, artistic spirit has in the daily lives of the couple in crisis, Alma meets, in the building’s play area, a man who claims he’s Anton Chekhov. The two of them start rehearsing the play and talking about the challenges of today’s world, blurring the lines between reality, fiction, past, present and future.
Inspired in the nuances of emotion in Chekhov’s writing, Pedro Brício’s Um jardim para Tchekhov is a fun, poetic text, reflection on social tensions, violence and intolerance.
