This book, which contains a selection of eighty photographs by Luiz Braga, is the result of a reflective and extensive photographic record covering more than two decades of the artists’ travels through the Amazon region. Whether in processions, festivals or the simplicity of life of traditional rural communities in the North of Brazil, the photographer’s eye shows us the details and chromatic complexities of the sometimes idyllic, sometimes urban, always abundant scenes of the culture with which Braga is so familiar. The book also includes the words of the artist himself, as well as a text by the editor, the photography critic Eder Chiodetto.
